GOAL

In 2017, JetBlue Card would like to drive awareness in Boston of its rewards, particularly for food and travel focused consumers. The credit card provides users with 2X points for restaurant purchases, and the brand wanted to partner with local culinary talent to highlight the connection between their product and experiencing the best of Boston cuisine through digital solutions.

Solution

Boston magazine created a custom “Fly Faster Than You Think” series connecting JetBlue Card to dining in Boston and travel while leveraging the celebrity chef buzz factor to increase awareness of JetBlue Card rewards. Six prominent local all-stars were interviewed in their restaurants to create commercials. Each video is hosted within a custom article on bostonmagazine.com alongside a more in depth interview with the featured chef or bartender. Each article runs with a custom JetBlue Card roadblock of ads and videos. Videos debut weekly during the 6 week run and are bolstered by over 8 drivers throughout the site, The Feed e-newsletter placement, and editorial social media inclusion. All content was also promoted through JetBlue Card and the influencers’ own channels for additional exposure.
