Dear Customers of [Insert Your Company Name Here],

We at [Insert Your Company Name Here] would like to thank you for your support this year and we wish you and your family the happiest of holiday seasons…

Okay, but what next?

Whether you know it or not, your holiday greeting is a major branding opportunity. It’s about ending the year right and making sure you start off strong in the new year. Before you send out those holiday cards make sure yours have hit these points.

List Your Accomplishments

There is an art to this. You don’t want to start rattling off about all you have done this year. It will come off as braggy and obnoxious. Instead, tell a story and incorporate your accomplishments. Talk about the goals you have reached and the ones you’re still working towards. This is also a great way to reinforce your mission statement and company values. Remind your audience what your brand stands for and why they are loyal to you.

Hint at What’s to Come

Without giving too much away, write about something your audience can look forward to. Generate excitement and anticipation among your following by talking about the room you still have to grow. This will remind your audience to look out for you in the new year.

Give Thanks

Gratitude is so important. Afterall, you are where you are because of your customers. Without them, none of this would be possible. Stress the role your audience plays in your mission and offer your sincerest thanks for their contributions. This is not only simple good manners it’s also a way to make sure that you will retain your customers in the new year.
